The Handbags are an exclusively female choir from Chester and the surrounding area who have formed a singing tour de force that has wooed audiences everywhere with a dazzling combination of classics from Dusty Springfield, Judy Garland, Stevie Wonder and Queen

They delight in the variety of performances, and these range from performing at The Kylie exhibition and Manchester Pride, to singing on an open top bus travelling through the centre of Bath, to performing in London's Bloomsbury Theatre. They act as ambassadors for Chester performing at exciting venues locally and increasingly, further afield.

All arrangements for the songs are original, by musical director Matt Baker and are in four-part harmony accompanied by piano and saxophone. Matt is based in Chester’s vibrant Garden Quarter area.
